Public Address (PA) Systems
Professional public address systems designed and installed for effective communication across facilities — clear, uniform audio coverage with emergency alert integration, zoned broadcasting, and background music.
What We Deliver
A well-designed PA system is invisible when working correctly — delivering clear, intelligible audio to every corner of your facility without dead spots or distortion. Satworks designs PA systems from first principles: acoustic modelling of your space, speaker placement for uniform coverage, amplifier sizing for headroom, and zoning for targeted announcements. We install systems that meet EN 54 life safety standards for emergency voice evacuation and integrate with your building management, fire alarm, and security systems.
Core Capabilities
Acoustic Design & Modelling
Computer-aided acoustic modelling of your space before installation. Speaker placement optimized for uniform SPL coverage within ±3dB across all zones. No dead spots, no hot spots.
Emergency Voice Evacuation
EN 54-16 compliant emergency PA systems with automatic fire alarm integration. Pre-recorded evacuation messages, live microphone override, and zone-by-zone evacuation sequencing.
Zoned Broadcasting
Independent audio zones for targeted announcements. Retail stores can run different music in different departments. Schools can address individual classrooms or the whole campus simultaneously.
Background Music Integration
Streaming music sources, scheduled playlists, and volume automation by time of day. Integration with digital signage for synchronized audio-visual messaging.
Indoor & Outdoor Speakers
Ceiling, pendant, and wall speakers for indoor environments. IP66-rated weatherproof column and horn speakers for outdoor areas, car parks, and sports facilities.
Remote Management
Web-based system management for volume control, zone scheduling, and fault monitoring. Automatic fault reporting with email/SMS alerts to facilities team.

International School Campus
4 min
Evacuation Drill Time
Challenge
School with 2,400 students across 3 buildings. Existing PA system had poor intelligibility — teachers could not understand announcements. No emergency evacuation capability. Fire safety compliance at risk.
Solution
Full PA system replacement across all 3 buildings with EN 54-compliant emergency voice evacuation. 180 ceiling speakers with acoustic modelling for classroom intelligibility. Zoned system allowing class-specific, building-specific, or campus-wide announcements. Integration with fire alarm panel.
Result
School passed fire safety inspection with commendation. Announcement intelligibility rated 'excellent' by staff. Emergency evacuation drill completed in 4 minutes — down from 11 minutes with previous system.

Independent Audio Zones
Challenge
350,000 sq ft mall with inconsistent audio coverage. Some areas too loud, others inaudible. Background music system separate from PA — two systems to manage. No zoning capability.
Solution
Unified PA and background music system with 24 independent zones. Acoustic modelling for each zone. Automated music scheduling with different playlists for food court, fashion, and entertainment zones. Emergency PA integration with fire system. Central management from security control room.
Result
Customer dwell time in food court increased 18% after music optimization. Emergency announcement system tested and certified. Facilities team managing entire audio estate from single interface.
Professional PA vs. Consumer Audio Systems
| Feature | Satworks | Typical Approach |
|---|---|---|
| Coverage uniformity | Acoustic modelled, ±3dB | Uneven, hot spots common |
| Emergency compliance | EN 54 certified, fire integrated | Not life-safety rated |
| Zoning | Independent zones, targeted messaging | All-or-nothing broadcast |
| Intelligibility | Designed for speech clarity (STI >0.5) | Music-optimized, poor speech |
| Remote management | Web dashboard, fault alerts | On-site adjustment only |
| Scalability | Add zones without rewiring | New system required |
